“Thailand Knowledge Centre” is a project of the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology of Thailand. It aims to promote the development and management of knowledge in the digital media (text-based, image, and also multimedia). More information of the project can be accessed through www.tkc.go.th

The objective of TKC project is to become a knowledge centre for the Thai people. The TKC website is organized in such a way that it is divided into two major parts, namely, Local Community Knowledge such as the local foods, herbs, & spa and the non-Local Knowledge such as other science and technology topics. The latter includes 13 areas of different knowledge domains.

Furthermore, to facilitate this project extensive network and infrastructure was also developed to support its Content Management, TKC mail, Search engine, Multimedia services, e-Learning, Web conference, TKC portal and the Community of Practices (CoPs).
